Birds and binoculars! Join a ranger for an introduction to the great hobby of birding.
Have you seen a bird? Do you want to see birds? Do you want to know what birds you see? Join us for a guided introduction to birdwatching. We'll start with binoculars and basic identification, then go for a short stroll to try out our new skills and see what we can find!
Loaner binoculars are available for the first 12 visitors. You are also welcome to bring your own binoculars, cameras, etc.
Meet at the gazebo.

- Dress for the weather
Entrance fee for the park is $7/person (children 12 and under are free); no additional fee for this program. Entry is free with a Texas State Parks Pass. Texas State Parks has a NEW reservation system. While we do not require reservations for any events at this time, without a day-use reservation, we cannot guarantee entrance into the park to attend this event. Reservations can be made online.
