Is your child curious about reptiles? This program provides them with a safe environment to learn about and interact with snakes with the help of an experienced professional. Through education and experience, your child will learn all about snake identification and what to do when a snake is seen. Indigenous snakes will be presented including the four venomous species found in Central Texas.
Instructor Tim Cole has been keeping reptiles for over four decades and has professional experience working with zoos and scientific field studies. He has been the Reptile Team Leader with Wildlife Rescue Inc. in Austin, TX, who he has been working with since 1989. He has achieved the level of State Advanced Certified Animal Control Officer, and has held a Texas Parks & Wildlife rehabilitation permit.
