Join a Lost Pines Master Naturalist to discover what creatures are roaming through the Lost Pines!

Join a Lost Pines Master Naturalist on this fun hike through the forest, and across streams to find out which predators lurk in the Lost Pines forest! Discover whoooo are the hunters and who are the hunted on this one to two mile guided hike. 

Have you ever wondered why your cat's eyes glow in the dark? Or why dogs lick their nose? Learn the answers to these questions and more as we explore ways predators use adaptations to stalk their prey.

When: 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Where: Winding Woodland Trailhead by the walk in campsites 

Distance: 1 to 2 miles

Difficulty: Easy to Moderate some elevation changes and uneven terrain

Bring: Closed-toe shoes, bottled water, sunscreen

Program is free after park entrance fee is paid. $5 per adult 13 and older. Children 12 and under get in free! Texas State Park pass holders do not pay day use fees.
