Learn more about McKinney Falls State Park’s history and natural resources!
First time visiting the park? Want to know more about our park’s history, wildlife, and native plants? Join us on this introductory hike at McKinney Falls! We will pass by features of the park such as Old Baldy, the Rock Shelter, and the Lower Falls. If creek conditions are well, we will cross the creek at the Lower Falls to see the Homestead remains.
- Meet: Visitor Center front patio
- Bring: Good hiking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and plenty of water. Bring the whole family and any questions you have about the park!
- Duration: About a 1-mile hike, ending back at the Visitor Center
Event is Free with paid entrance fees; Adults: $6, Children 12 and under: Free.
*Parents must accompany all minors. Recommended for 10 years old and up
