Entrance fees: $8/adult; children 12 and under are free; no additional fees for this event. Entry is free with an active Texas State Parks Pass.

IMPORTANT: Reservations are required to enter the State Natural Area Friday through Monday, on holidays and/or during school breaks. You can check day pass availability online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. The latest available entrance permit is 4-8PM - all day-use visitors must be in the park prior to 8PM when the entrance gate closes.

If you are arriving before or after office hours, you will need to use the self-pay station to obtain your park entrance permit. The self-pay station is located at the front of the office and is cash (exact change), check, reservation or Texas State Parks Pass only.

All programs are weather dependent -- if it rains, the Summit Trail and all elevated trails and areas of the park are closed. Also, if it's cloudy -- stars will not be visible.
