Experience Lockhart State Park as an outdoor classroom in this program for school-age kids!
Lockhart State Park’s homeschool program is a set of outdoor classes designed for homeschool kiddos grades 1-5. The program series will take place from September to April, and classes are held on the 2nd week of every month. This year, you can choose between attending class on Wednesday at 2pm or Thursday at 10am. There is no need to register; just come when you are able! The topic for each month will be unique, so don’t miss out!
December’s topic is Christmas for the birds! Learn about your local birds, join us on a bird walk, and create a bird feeder to take home for the birds in your backyard!
Prepare: Dress for the weather (sturdy shoes and layers recommended) and bring water.
Meet: In the picnic area of the park.
Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).
