Description:

We're sorry, this program is full, with a full waitlist as well.

We're sorry, this program is full, with a full waitlist as well. We offer night hikes about once a month, so please plan to join us another time!

Come on a Halloween Night Hike with us, as we focus on some of the "spooky" critters we might encounter at night!

Join us as we walk an easy trail (about 3/4 mile round-trip) and experience the night. We will look for wolf spiders with flashlights to see their eyeshine, we'll look for scorpions under black lights (they glow!), and we'll generally just listen to night noises and take it all in. These programs are terrific for kids, but fun for all ages!

What to Bring: Wear close-toed shoes comfortable for walking (tennis shoes are great), and bring drinking water. You might wish to bring bug spray as well. Make sure to bring a flashlight or headlamp (these work better than cell phone flashlights). No dogs are allowed, please.

What to Wear: good walking shoes, bring a flashlight (head light or flashlight works better than cell phone) and dress for the weather.

Spots are limited, and registration is required. To sign up, please email holly.platz@tpwd.texas.gov
