Join us for a hike under the light of the moon!

This hike will take us up the Summit Trail to the top of Enchanted Rock. 

IMPORTANT: Reservations are required to enter the State Natural Area Friday through Monday, on holidays and/or during school breaks. You can check pass availability here.

RSVP: You must contact us in advance to attend this program, as we are limiting attendance. RSVP by emailing or calling the contact listed in this event listing. Note: all attendees must enter the park prior to 8PM when the front gate closes & must be at the start location at the start time.

Meet at the gazebo. 

Time: Approximately 2.0 hours. 
Distance: 1.5 mile round trip. 
Difficulty: challenging 
Elevation gain: 425 feet.

• Walking shoes 
• Flashlight (preferably with a red lens) 
• Drinking water 
• Dress for the weather 

NO PETS are allowed on this hike. 

Reservations are required to enter the state natural area Friday through Sunday, holidays or school breaks. You can check day pass availability online at TexasStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com. An RSVP to the listed contact is also required to attend this program.

Entrance fees: $8/adult; children 12 and under are free; no additional fees for park programs. Entry is free with a Texas State Parks Pass.

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: There will be NO water available in the park from June 4th through July 1st. All visitors MUST bring their own water for consumption. Non-flushing restrooms will be available.

All programs are weather dependent -- if it rains, the Summit Trail and all elevated trails and areas of the park are closed. 

All attendees must be inside the park prior to 8pm when the front gate closes. You MUST be at the start location at the posted start time to join in on this event. The Summit Trail and all elevated areas in the park close half an hour after Sunset unless you are with a Park Ranger.
