Discover the secrets behind the wondrous Pedernales Falls!

Geology is a science that gives us stories from the past, and helps us predict what the future may look like! Join Ranger Steve as we explore not only the recent past, and how Pedernales Falls has formed, but also the ancient past, with creatures that lived here 300 million years ago!

Meet at the Main Falls Overlook to join. (300 yards from parking lot)

Schedule: 30 minute history and fossil demonstration, followed by 30 minute hike down to the last rock layer at the Falls!

Wear comfortable hiking clothing for the weather! The optional hike will be about 1/2 a mile through some rough terrain. 

- Child and dog friendly (Dogs must be on leash at all times in the park)

- Normal Entrance fees required to enter the park, no additional fees to attend this event.
