Try your hand at this unique art technique!

Block printing is a popular printmaking technique that started in China more than a thousand years ago. In this program, we will use two techniques to carve pictures into foam blocks, which makes “stamps” that can be coated with ink and pressed onto paper to produce a print. Recommended for ages 4+. No registration required.

Prepare: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a bottle of water.

Meet: Meet in the picnic area of the park. If driving from park HQ, pass the pool and take your first right-hand turn into the picnic area parking lot.

Fees: Regular park entrance fees apply ($3/adult, free for children 12 & under).
