Description:
Look and listen for the bats that call Blanco home
Take a stroll along the Blanco River and learn about our most under-appreciated mammals - bats! We'll talk about our local bat population, watch them fly above, and use a special bat detector to listen to their echolocation in real-time.
- Location: Meet in front of the CCC Pavilion, near the campground area.
- Bring: water, insect spray, and a flashlight.
- Distance: 0.8 miles, round trip, on mostly level grass and pavement
- Cost: Free with paid park enry, whichi s $5 for adults and children 13 and older
