Let's get our hands wet as we learn about the critters that call Buescher Lake home! Have some cool fun during the hot Texas summer!

Did you know water bugs are important creatures that can tell us if our water ecosystem is healthy or hurting?  Let's see what we can catch and what they tell us about Buescher Lake's health!  Be prepared to get your hands wet and dirty!

Meet at the Canoe Barn Fishing Area in Buescher State Park. (15 minute drive on Highway 71 or 35 minute drive on Park Road 1C from Bastrop State Park)

Bring: Plenty of water, wear sunscreen or a hat and clothes you don't mind getting wet!

All materials will be provided for this activity.


Program is free after park entrance fee is paid.
