Join a Lost Pines Master Naturalist for an adventure on the trails!

Join a Lost Pines Master Naturalist on this fun hike to find out about the Lost Pines forest!

When: 10 - 11:30 a.m.

Distance: 1 mile

Difficulty: Moderate

Guided Hike will be on a 1-mile dirt/sand/rocky hiking trail that has elevation changes, steep hill sections, uneven terrain, and steps.

Meet: Bastrop State Park playground. 
Look for you hike leaders, Ellen and Megan, who will be wearing Master Naturalist name tags and standing near either the wooden "guided hike" sign or the large Trails Map Sign. 

Bring: Close-toed shoes, water, weather appropriate clothing

*Note: It is illegal to pick/pluck/take any natural item from a Texas State Park; this includes foraging in Texas State Parks. Participants will be educated on the edible plants in our area and are encouraged to plant native edible plants in their yards. 

This program can be canceled due to inclement weather or if no participants show up with in the first 10 minutes of the program. 

Program is free after park entrance fee is paid. Park entrance fee is $5 per adult. Kids 12 and under are free!
